Dr. Christensen retired July 2023 after an impressive 40+ optometry career. Dr. Christensen has chosen Sausalito Optometry to provide his patients with continuity of care.
Sausalito Optometry was established by Dr. Maureen McCoy, O.D. in 2004 and has deep roots in our community. We look forward to providing you excellent eyecare services with dignity and respect. The transition process will take some time and we appreciate your understanding and patience. Change can be exciting but can also make one feel anxious, that is understandable. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions. Here are some answers to some common questions: Can I schedule my appointment now with Sausalito Optometry? Yes, we look forward to seeing you, just call the office and we will gather your information and set up an appointment for you. Will you have my old records? Yes, but not during the transition phase. Integrating all the information will take time. We can still see you for your exam. Once the integration is complete, we will review your records to confirm there are no changes or new diagnoses. What happens if I break by glasses from Dr. Christensen? We will do everything in our power to adjust/repair your frames in our office. Be aware that warranties do not transfer from Dr. Christensen's office to Sausalito Optometry. We carry a different selection of frame brands and may be unable to get your exact replacement. Sausalito Optometry cannot replace a broken frame at our expense. What insurance do you take? We accept Medicare and VSP. We accept all major credit cards, flexible spending cards and health saving account cards. We look forward to helping you with all your eyecare needs! |
