Maureen McCoy received her doctorate degree in Optometry from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Cultural anthropology from UC Santa Barbara.

Her education includes a wide range of studies encompassing binocular vision disorders, low vision evaluation, anatomy, physiology, physics, chemistry, microbiology, neurology, systemic and ocular pathology detection, and pharmacology, as well as other associated topics.

Dr. McCoy is certified to diagnose and treat glaucoma, as well as other eye diseases. She is a member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Sausalito Women’s Club, and Rotary International.

Rick Bauer received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and his Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Dr. Bauer is passionate about taking care of his patients and enjoys providing his patients with knowledge to better understand their ocular conditions.

In his free time, Dr. Bauer enjoys hiking, photography, and baking.

Sandra has been in the optometric field for over 20 years. She is Sausalito Optometry’s eye health technician as well as the frame and lens specialist.

Sandra is the proud mother of two, Alejandro and Aries, and grandmother to Astraea.

Alicia has been in the optometric field for over three years and is an important part of Sausalito Optometry. She is Sausalito Optometry’s eye health technician as well as the frame and lens specialist.

Alicia is a native of Petaluma and is the proud dog mom of Chico, her adorable puppy.

Renee joined the Sausalito Optometry team in 2023. She is dedicated and enthusiastic with a passion for delivering exceptional service that leaves customers delighted. Adept at resolving inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience. Committed to maintaining high levels of satisfaction and loyalty. Renee lives in Marin and has lived in Europe and Mexico as well. She loves flower arranging and many of her displays can be seen at the office.
